Operation Northstar

Good morning,

Town centre officers were out patrolling yesterday as part of Operation Northstar. This is GMPs initiative to protect communities during the festive period. Officers were also situated on Mersey Square and conducted a Crime Prevention Stall, offering advice to shoppers. Officers from the GMPs Mounted Unit also made an appearance. The mobile Police station will be placed in the town centre throughout December.
